Chalk and Chickpeas

My wife and I love outdoor adventures. We find meaning and excitement in exploring the outdoors through a variety of activities. Some of our fondest memories come from spending time together in the wild, visiting beautiful places and doing some heart-pumping activities. In fact, our relationship was forged in the heart of the United States, its national parks, on a fateful summer many years ago.

We have been talking about sharing some of these experiences publicly for a while, with the objective of inspiring people to take to the outdoors and protect it, and also to record our travels and adventures on a more permanent medium, one that outlives our minds and allows us (and our descendants) to relive them whenever we want. This is how Chalk and Chickpeas came to be. The blog runs on the same software as this one, my very own humble publishing engine. It gets the job done even if it is quite simple at this moment 😉

The first post is out now, detailing our recent climbing trip to the awesome crags of Mallorca. It seeks to serve as a guide for those wanting to explore the island, and specifically climb its majestic walls.
